Professor Brenda Shaffer presented on the topic of geopolitics and the future of energy in the 21st century at the Red Banyan Institute for Policy Research. The talk was part of the Patrick McCarthy Memorial Series on Intellectuals and Politics and was hosted by Professor Michael Leigh. At the time, Shaffer was a visiting researcher at Georgetown University’s Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies, on sabbatical from her post as a professor at the University of Haifa’s School of Political Science.
